5 Model Fitness Tips With 1 That Will (Maybe!) Blow Your Mind
All models know the importance of staying in shape – our bodies are part of our livelihoods, so it is important that they always look their best. We work hard to maintain our figures and have got together to give you some model fitness tips that may help you on your fitness journey and regime.
Walk, Don’t Run!
Ok, this fitness tip blew our minds when we tested it out… Let’s say you run 6km on a treadmill at 9.8km/hr (our favourite speed for running!). The digital display tells us that such a run burns just short of 400 calories.
BUT if you walk 6km at 6.5km/hr with the incline set high (our highest setting is 15%), you will burn over 750 calories! Amazing!!! Next time you are at the gym, try it for yourself 😊
This is great for a number of reasons:
- By not running, you are not putting your joints under pressure
- Your calves will become more toned
- You will burn off more fat
For some of us, this was a game changer. There is more toning involved and, honestly, the exercise seems to be easier to complete than if we run.
Work Off A Meal Plan
It’s important to plan your diet and shop accordingly. If you have a weekly food plan split into days, you are more likely to stick to it – avoiding last minute takeaways… You can take inspiration from these meal plans, catering for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans.
Have A Fitness Buddy
We think this is important, it keeps both of you motivated to commit to exercise times, on a pre-agreed basis. Having a friend working with you towards the same goals will keep you in the game for longer. It’s too easy to say you will exercise tomorrow instead, not so easy when your friend is knocking at your door!
Have Some Predefined Goals
By having a good idea of what you want to achieve and in what time scale, you are far more likely to have success. It doesn’t matter what your goals are, as long as it will help you become what you want to – It’s important not to pay too much attention to the scales, you will know if you have toned up. Muscle mass weighs more than fat, so bear this in mind.
We like to have that one item of clothing that seems too tight to wear… give it a few weeks of exercise and sensible calorie intake and try it on again!
Enlist The Help of A Professional
If you are serious about your fitness regime, it’s a good idea to start with a qualified and well respected personal trainer. You can discuss your goals with them and they should provide a tailor made fitness plan. They might also offer their own meal plans, which again should be made with you and your goals in mind.
A PT will show you the best exercises to hit your goal and will provide a level of motivation that may be hard to find elsewhere. Even a session once a week will help, with you going solo at other times in the week.
We hope these model fitness tips have helped you. Just remember that it is never too late to start and starting today is better than starting tomorrow!
